Need a heavy long travel shock assembly for reasons involving flying an old ford F100. Should I combine 4 individual shocks into one abomination?

Have you looked at fox shocks? https://www.ridefox.com/product.php?m=offroad&t=shocks&partnumber=980-02-069  you can get 16" of travel for a reasonable price. Would have to do some fab for your mounts
